MATHIAS SODERBACK
CIO OF ALANDS MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY
Mathias is the CIO of Ömsen Försäkringar, a mutual insurance company (property and casualty) in the Ålands Islands, Finland, where he has managed Ömsens investment portfolio since 2011.
Mathias manages Ömsens portfolios of equities, fixed income, real estate assets (real estate, forest and agriculture), derivatives and alternatives, with investments made both directly and through funds, in public and private markets. He has successfully developed in-house cross-asset investment capabilities for the local insurance company, with its investment portfolio of EUR 230M.
Prior to his role at Ömsen Försäkringar, Mathias spent 8 years at Carnegie Investment Bank AB in Stockholm, where he held various positions within asset management.
Qualifications:
Mathias holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Uppsala.
